Oscar winning cinematographer Haskell Wexler passed away

Oscar-winning cinematographer Haskell Wexler died peacefully in his sleep on 27 December 2015 in California, US. He was 93. He was one of the America’s most influential cinematographers.


He was born on 6 February 1922 in Chicago, US. He was known for his work on films like Coming Home and In the Heat of the Night.
• He had worked as director of photography on films including The Best Man and Mulholland Falls. He also produced and directed 1969’s Medium Cool.
• He was also recognised for his documentary work on the Emmy-winning Paul Jacobs and the Nuclear Gang and Interviews with My Lai Veterans for which he won Academy Award.
• He won Oscar Awards for his films including Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf? (1966) and Bound for Glory (1976).
• He was first cinematographer to receive star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1996.

Cartoonist R.K. Laxman died at age 94.
Jan 26, 2015 - The famous cartonist, illustrator and humorist R.K. Laxman (Rasipuram Laxman ) was died at age of 94 in January 26th 2015. He was born on October 24th, 1921 in Mysore Karnataka. The Famous novelist R.K.Narayanan wa his older brother. R.K.Laxman is recipient of Padma Bhusan award in 1971, Padma Vibhushan award in 2005 and Ramon Magsaysay award for Journalism in 1984.

Famous greek singer Demis roussours died at age 68

Jan 27, 2015 - The famous greek singer Demis roussours passes away in  his 68 years old. He was the best high-pitched and melodies singer in the years 1970's and 1980's. He was born in Alexandira , Egypt in 1946. He had started his music career at age 17. He was also a member of progressive rock group aphrodite's child.
